Brief:
Develop a Virtual News Engine - an Application Service Provider environment that will allow the Independent Newspapers titles to be published online using a single delivery engine
Purpose of site:
The VNE provides Independent Newspapers with a single interface for managing the newspapers in their stable, whilst at the same time enabling them to provide a unique look and feel for each one.
Special features:
The site works on a template driven interface design system and accepts content feeds from a number of different sources.
Technology:
The current IOL systems have been developed using MySQL and PHP and the VNE followed that direction, leveraging off IOL's existing inhouse technical competencies.
