Jam powers marketing operations at SA Breweries

South African Breweries (SAB) is the second-largest listed company on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and the country’s largest beverage producer. It is also the historical birthplace of SABMiller plc, one of the world’s largest brewers. They manage an ever-changing portfolio of well-known beverage brands and are constantly looking for ways in which to improve their insight into these brands and manage their investment in them.

SAB use a customised version of our BrandDirector™ product to centralise and automate their marketing operations. Their BrandDirector™ implementation co-ordinates 500 users implementing around 640 projects every year. The system enables SAB to manage their projects and processes online, including critical path management, task tracking, approvals, and reporting of supplier and staff performance.

Our major customisations to BrandDirector™ were successfully implemented on very tight deadlines so that the product could be available for the new financial year. SAB needed five custom reports, custom data entry screens and a specialised budgeting module to adapt BrandDirector™ to their unique process. Working closely with the client, our team used their skill and experience to take a large set of customisations from concept to delivery in six months.
